£240 Early bird
Full fee: £275
If you book the course and a one to one session together the one to one session is discounted to £55 (usual fee £70)

We will explore the Focusing way of being, how this may come in to your client work and support you around your client work. This course will be experiential in nature including group time and work in pairs. We will look at the embodied, relational, process oriented aspects of the Focusing process as well as how this beautiful practices supports and deepens our experience of and ability to extend the core conditions to our clients and ourselves. If you are drawn to bringing your embodiment and your holistic experience into your work more but are keen to do so in a way that is non imposing and valuing of your client’s unique process, this course will give you space and support to sense into how to do this in a way that is also uniquely yours. Previous participants also felt this course helped them reconnect with Person Centred values and practice.

The time together will be experiential and I hope to have the course as much in the spirit of Focusing and Person Centredness as we can. There will be handouts and content but I also hope to adapt according to what your needs and interests may be in the moment. You are also welcome and encouraged to bring anything that interests you and you want to share.

The mornings will be a mix of content, group discussion/exploration, guided group exercises and pair work. We can also use some of the time to bring client work scenarios to explore together in a supervision style context. Here are some of the areas we will cover

A Focusing way of being
A Focusing way of perceiving
Cultivating presence
Focusing and the Person Centred approach - theory and values
Experiencing
Embodiment
Supporting yourself with Focusing
The relational in Focusing
Focusing and process orientation
Process invitations

There is no prior experience of Focusing necessary to attend this course, however if you’d like to get some experience before hand then I can offer you a reduced rate 1-2-1 Focusing session (subject to availability) so get in touch if you might like this

I may be able to run this also in an evening/ at other times of the week, if you’re interested but can’t do a Thursday morning then let me know
